Guys just fitted the light tonight. While switched on but engine off the light runs fine but the right one seems to stutter occasionally.

With the engine on its a different story. The brake light flashed for 3 then paused then flashed for three paused and flashed for 3 and so on.
The left was fine again but the right was stuttering intermittently.

Can any one advise?

Is this the American unit?
I ask as flashing brake lights are common in Yankieland. Have been shown to be better as drivers behind are quicker to react to the flash. However, that system is illegal in the UK.

So don't know if you have that system and if it can be switched on/off.

Failing that sounds like it's the usual automotive electrics volts, connector, current issues. I know they do a wiring harness, is this needed to control the LEDs in any way?

No idea what was causing it. Mibe the battery was running low and attracting a greater charge but its all sorted now.
