Not really Bike related (apart from I was on my Bike!) but I saw this whilst having a blast down the A458 today.

My money's on him either on his phone or nodded off for a sec.

I reckon nodded off - you can see where the lorry wheels have chewed up the grass on the other side to the one he ended up on, I'm thinking he fell asleep, drifted off to the left, woke up, panicked, swerved back onto the road but a bit too much and ended up on the other side.

It was 5 mins past a place called Foel, Mid Wales.

I picked up the A458 nr Birmingham and kept going till I got to the end........................ Then turned right and carried onto Barmouth Mr. Green

I loved every minute of it and the scenery was stunning.

Journey back was a bit late though and drving back in pitch black was less enjoyable Shocked

ha I know where this is - I wondered where that big groove on the opposite side of the road came from....

It's a nice piece of straight road... not much can go wrong there unless you're not paying attention.

I wouldn't have thought he would have fallen asleep immediately after a subtle right hand bend. But it's possible.

Maybe he was coming round the bend, only to meet an oncoming car on his side of the road that was overtaking another vehicle. So he's gone left to avoid an accident and lost it trying to come back.

It could have been anything really!

Small world, I stay near there at a place just outside of Llanerfyl.

I doubt he would of fallen asleep on that road to be honest as there is plenty to keep you occupied on that road especially driving an arctic.
