 |
|
A better range than the Halfords 150 piece set that's at £99.99 half the time (£199 rrp); I suspect all the sockets are metric. More spanners, though no ratchet spanners (but the ones in the halfords kit aren't flex-head, so not so useful to my mind.)
2 year manufacturer warranty.
I've had tools of the same design before and they've done the job fine.
Did break the 1/4" ratchet, but that was through mis-use.
If they were the wall drive version of these tools, I'd be going for it.
As it is, I might get one of the said wall drive sets (from ebay) at some point as my current tools are in a bit of a mess and I'd like a car-set anyway.
------
Extensive range of tools made from chrome-vanadium, chrome-molybdenum or S2 steel
Includes:
- 39 hexagonal sockets
- 18 hexagonal drop-centre sockets
- 14 E-profile sockets
- 3 ratchets with quick-release function
- 3 spark plug sockets
- 5 extensions
- 1 sliding T-bar
- 3 cardan joints
- 12 combination spanners
- 1 screwdriver handle - can also be used as an extension
- 1 screwdriver handle with magnetic bit adaptor
- 74 bits
- 32 bit inserts
- 3 bit adaptors
- 7 hex keys
Supplied in a practical plastic case
2 year manufacturer's warranty

I've got my eye on the Lidl set - if the local store has them in stock I may well buy one. |

Do you know when this offer ends? I'm interested in grabbing me a set. Seeing as I'm borrowing my dads tools every time I need to work on my bike and he keeps forgetting certain sockets and what not which end up being needed, and I'm stuck for a day or more without work being done on my bike. |

All the Aldi and Lidl stuff is there "while stocks last". Most stores get one shipment and when it's gone, it's gone.
If it's not popular or hasn't been in one store, they may get more. Though, I think there's actually a special Lidl dump-store somewhere around here where they send all the stuff they don't want (which is quite typical for West Yorkshire generally ). |

I got that eBay kit from a car booty about 8yrs ago. I still have almost every piece for it now. Only broke the 1/2" driver a cpl weeks ago using it as a hammer to wack something on the bike lol. And now it only ratchets in one direction!
Whats a wall drive thingy then? ____________________ Carbon closet tart! https://www.bikepics.com/members/r6stuk/02r6/

Already having the woman telling me the pictures are for illustrated purposes only. Well what ground does that have? Maybe a different colour case and different rubber handles but showing something that is 95% walldrive is misleading surely?! ____________________ Honda H100S2 Rebuild - https://www.bikechatforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=253852 |

Contain the seller and inform them you wish to return under the distance selling regulations, the 7 day cooling off period starting with the day after the item is received.
If the 7 days has elapsed open an eBay dispute. Ebay will have all the records of your communications - that you gave the seller a reasonable opportunity to rectify the problem - and the changes they made to their terms.
99% certain they will resolve in your favour and it costs nothing to try . Good luck! ____________________ ZX-6R G2
