I only had my bike for about a month and while I was in my mates field we were banging about on our bikes and I went over a hump, which inevitably my 49cc couldn't get up and so I fell off sideways Laughing

twice.

First time was putting it on the side stand ona slight bank, unless its totally upright my bike falls over, hence i now use the center stand Razz

second time was in the rain outside a petrol station. a friend pulled out in front of me far too fast at a roundabout, i snatched the front brake on a white line at about 15-20mph and was on my ass before i knew what was going on Razz

dropped my derbi senda just the once while making a right turn in the wet. gave it too much throttle, lost back wheel and i went down.. felt a bit stupid but i was more concerned about damage to myself and the bike. (thankfully there was none to the bike and i just had a limp and some bumps and bruises for a week or so.)

I droped mine when i went to buy it, went for a test ride slowed for a corner with the front brake, let the brake off but it had seized on because it hadn't been used for two years and the brake pipe had coroded inside. couldn't get my foot down fast enough and dropped it on it's left side.

Dropped it another time while takeing it off its centre stand with a hangover but didn't cause any damage.

dropped the NSR once (while stationary, embarrassing) - I don't count the time I was knocked off it as my dropping it!

and dropped the zx6r once as well, slipping in the wet, and I hope that's the only time...

1 on a ktm 250, 3 times on the derbi, and i once dropped a gs1150 when doing a u-turn.

Erm the ktm one was 40mph into a fence/tree, the derbi ones was once when lights disappeared round a bend and i ran wide, one was it falling off its stand in a carpark, and once when my mum watered my lawn and didnt tell me, lost both wheels at about 15mph straight on my arse, and the gs 1150 is one lardy mother when it has a full tank, started going down and i decided lets put it down rather then risk dumping the clutch of a shaft drive with a 3 foot drop all round (specially since it werent my bike).

None really heinous or my big fault.

Never dropped a bike but my old ZX10 committed hari kari while i watched it from an office window over the road! The side stand pushed its way through a thin layer of concrete into a cavity left by an air bubble that had formed whilst the concrete was still wet Sad Just my luck Sick

i dropped my old rs125 while not on it if that counts.

slight camber on the road near the kerb had the steering lock on

went to put the bike cover on and it snagged on the reg plate

yanked the bike cover and the bike slowly toppled over and span round on the side stand and grazed the kerb Sad

couple of scratches on the left fairing

lad at work bought a gsxr600 dropped it at a set of traffic lights and spent five minutes trying to pick it up

then he bought an r6!! and dropped that at work trying to u turn it and hit the pavement.

he then decides to buy a brand spanking new zx6-r and 1000 pound set of leathers with the hump on the back for pose factor whilst still paying off the loan for the gsxr600!!

nearly came off that last week whilst trying to open the throttle on a raised man hole cover in the rain.

clearly a good example why starting on a 125 and moving slowly up through the ranks is a good idea

I'm quite clumsy and have dropped all my bikes numerous times...

The most embarrasing was with my current bike, I'd just picked it up new from the dealers, parked it in the drive and was walking round it admiring all the new shiny bits and pieces...

Standing beside it I lifted it off its sidestand to get a feel for the weight and somehow it toppled over away from me...

less than 10 miles on the clock... Embarassed

(don't ever buy a used bike from me...)

Well an embarrassing time for my friend was when she was taking her bike off the centre and stand and let go of it... It happened to hit me so I fell into my bike, like a domino effect. Lovely Thumbs Up

I haven't dropped my own bike yet, but I dropped Colin's twice in the space of 2 days at the weekend. First time I forgot to put the stand down and just let go (caught it in time), second time was when it threw me off and then dropped itself.

Naughty bike! Rolling Eyes
