Clearly this sun has gone to people's heads.

Firstly, I'm filtering down a busy road, stationary traffic alongside me and occasional cars coming towards me. Going nice and steady, see a police car ahead, some people stop and don't go past, because it's the police innit. I carried on and the police car moved right over to allow me to tuck in.

Then a bit further up, I was about to pull in, in good time as a car was approaching. The guy in front actually stopped the cars behind (which had now started moving, albeit slowly) to allow plenty of room in front of him for me to glide into ahead of him.

My faith is restored, until tomorrow obviously.

I was filtering on the ring road around Oxford today, skipped 20 mins of traffic easily.

It's a reasonably wide road so you can fly down the middle with care.

Then Mr. Range Rover decided to almost straddle two lanes to block me. I spent a good 5 minutes behind him before the car in the left lane cottoned on and slowed down, leaving me a gap to go through.

Result!

If I get blocked while filtering through the middle of traffic I just drop into their lane and pass them on the right (or left if they're in the inside lane) making sure I make plenty of noise while doing so.

99% of cagers are good, but it's the 1% that sticks out and that people can be bothered to complain about. These are usually van drivers or old people in cars they are incapable of controlling.

I think it's great when you're filtering and cars visibly draw away to make the gap bigger for you.

When I had my car I would always do it for bikes coming past me.

One guy shouted WANKER at me for filtering past him

Some other bloke flashed his lights and gave me the finger for overtaking a row of cars when he was about two miles away coming from the opposite direction

And a woman pulled out in front of me as I was going along, but I spotted it early and got on the brakes hard as I pulled up behind her.

All in 15 miles.

The sun makes Peterboghorror people angry I guess!

I clipped a mirror the other day for the first time in a couple of months, pretty hard, didn't stop.

Some cagers are nice sometimes. Some bikers are cunts sometimes.

Filtering on the way in to work this morning I ended up misjudging the gap between a car and a bollard on the central island. Realised I couldn't fit so rolled back so I was almost behind the car in my way. Driver saw me and folded his electric wing mirror in so I could squeeze through.

I could have kissed him. Smile Instead I just gave him a big Thumbs Up as I continued filtering.
