 |
|
I'm looking to make some changes to my 2004 CG Honda 125, these will probably be spread out over the next 2-3 months as I'm saving for something non-bike related atm.
1. Tyres. The ones on mine aren't originals, the are two different tyres completely. I knew they were thin but I pulled into a car park today where a bunch of 125's were parked. My tires were almost half the width, the front one isn't much bigger than a BMX tyre (serious).
2. A service. Mainly for peace of mind, bike runs fine as far as I can tell, requires a quick play with the choke to get running but that's all. Rear brake could also do with a slight adjustment so there isn't as much play.
3. Indicators. Mine need changing, the left-rear indicator keeps falling out of it's socket and overall I just think they stick out too wide.
4. Storage. I'm looking for some rear storage, I think panniers may hit my exhaust so I may have to look for a top box.
If anyone has any recommendations for any of the above that I want, please let me know. Also if you have cheap but worthwhile 'mods' I'd like to hear them.
Ps, I'm not trying to pimp out the bike, I plan to use it for at least 15 months so I'd rather have these things changed now. ____________________ Honda CG 125 04' Blue |

Check the correct sizes are fitted, don't put bigger or wider tyres on it for the looks, your upset the handling!

Oil change and filter change, can do yourself. Valve clearances. New spark plug. Cheap as

I personally would just get a new one, start changing things to non standard items and the your just devalue the bike, could always get some and change thm back before selling

Get a top box

Thanks Rocket, how can I find the correct size? I know the previous owner mentioned he put different tyres on so it would pass the MOT.
Will it be on the bike wheel? I'm pretty sure the front tyre is smaller than it should be.
Ps, Paid £550 for the bike - Doubt I can devalue it ____________________ Honda CG 125 04' Blue |
