Brief history:

Bike was throwing up C24 & C25, and cutting out ALL the time. I figured out it was the rectifier, putting 18V to the battery. Swapped the rectifier and the problem ceased.

Now I'm getting C12, C24 and C25. Checked the charging voltage, it's fine. However the battery is most definitely fucked. It dies from having the lights on for more than a few minutes, and doesn't regenerate itself. Needs bumping if I leave the lights on for too long. I'm guessing the prolonged 18V charge rate did it in.

When I get the codes the bike stutters briefly, or cuts out briefly but starts again. It starts fine on the button if I've been for a run to charge the battery, but the battery does not hold its charge for long.

C12 is crankshaft position sensor, a green connector under the seat, if I pull that out, it won't start and shows C12. However with in it, starts fine, but will throw the code at lowish revs or idle, at high revs it's fine and doesn't cut out.

I'm going to guess at the battery, would a duff battery throw up these codes?

hey fella

seeing as c24 & c25 are coil fault codes and you got it from your reg rec i would say highly possible.you know the battery is goosed so replace it anyway and see if c12 continues Thumbs Up

see if you can check the fluid levels in the battery you could have fried most the water/acid if need be top up the battery with deionized water, charge and test

over charge has been known on a couple of occasions to do this and i have saved more than one battery doing this (i am a cheap bastard who likes to get every penny out that i can)
