Just to confirm NO.
My lad's bike (Varadero XL125V) has a knacked starter motor that appears to have welded itself into/onto the engine. Passed MOT ok. As said, lights, horn, indicators, etc. work ok on battery power. I believe tester started it ok with bump or may have used rolling road.
So to repeat above in your case you will need to buy a battery so the electrics can be tested. ____________________ ...and the whirlwind is in the thorn trees, it's hard for thee to kick against the pricks...
