Hi All,
Anyone spot a problem here...... apart from the obvious bent frame!
https://i1117.photobucket.com/albums/k589/ukdiceman/null_zps56944b8b.jpg
Does anyone have any ideas on a repair for this, it only happened last night and after it was recovered I went to the pub! I've not taken the sprocket cover off yet and I'm not back home now until the weekend, so no idea of the real damage. Just thought I'd see what you guys recon. ____________________ FZ6 Fazer |

Chain looks a bit slack. You've already spotted the twisted subframe. |

Yeah, I'm hoping there's no leaks and I might be able to get it back on the road...... I knew I'd get words of encouragement from Paddy ____________________ FZ6 Fazer |

That was caused by a stiff link... the big rear sprocket straightens it out, the small front sprocket leaves it kinked so it smashes into the sprocket cover / engine case.
The good news is that if you're not leaking oil, a bit of JB Weld and new chain and sprockets will make an effective if rather ugly repair ____________________ Previous Bikes: 2006 Honda XR125L > 2003 Yamaha DT125R > 1996 Honda CB500

Take the chain and sprocket off. If it's not pissing oil out then bodge it up.
Was going to suggest getting it welded but saw it was an XJ600....so gaffer tape it over. If you want to go posh, warm the metal up, tap it back carefully and add a bit of chemical metal |

That's the way to go, next topic would be, how to shift gears with no thumb or how to get the gear lever on the left
EDIT: right side, I'm with out a motorcycle about 2 months and I've already forgot how those things work ____________________ '87 Honda XBR 500, '96 Kawasaki ZX7R P1, '90 Honda CB-1, '88 Kawasaki GPz550, MZ 150 ETZ
