You could always ask them to increase the mileage limit and pay a small fee.
Glad to hear your having fun. |

I said I would do 2500 miles in a year...have done 1600 in 3 months!
Well I didn't know you could do so many miles on a ped did I! ____________________ Be careful whose advice you buy, but, be patient with those who supply it. Just worked it out. I said I'd do 3000 in the year as that's what I done on the NSR. After 3 months of having the new bike I've done just over 3000 now. Ah well I'm having loads of fun on it. You reckon it's a good idea to tell my insurance company about it if I end up way over what I initially gave? ____________________ Honda NSR125R -> Suzuki GSXR400R GK76a -> Kawasaki ZX636 B1H -> Honda CBR400RR NC29 -> Nothing |

Good to hear you're enjoying it.
As long as they don't know the milage on the bike when you started the policy you should be okay. If you haven't told them what the milage was at the start of the policy they have no way of knowing. |

Would my insurance be void if I went over and crashed? ____________________ Be careful whose advice you buy, but, be patient with those who supply it. i would agree if it werent for this poxy restriction law. I know lots take out the restrictors but as a christian i believe that i should follow the law no matter how stupid it is.
if they uped the limit to 55 or 60 bhp that would be more reasonable imo, you can have more fun and so on there but it int in the region of killing yourself without trying power, such as 170bhp....
but i love the 250, and think i might run it into the ground and when i can afford a newer and better bike use it as a winter hack...and im in the process of tarting it up some what....(i think i should have had a r6)

Yeah the same for me, I didn't think I would do so many miles on a ped, but I have...When I got it, I hadn't a clue how many miles I would do on it, having never rode a motorized vehicle before. ____________________ Be careful whose advice you buy, but, be patient with those who supply it. If you are involved in an accident the insurance companies will look very carefully at what your original declaration said about the bike and about you. If they find any discrepencies they will do their damndest to get out of paying out. For the sake of a few quid I would declare accurately. Unless of course you are sure you will never have an accident. |
