Any one bought the lower fairings for a 2003 sv650?

I've seen some genuine suzuki ones on ebay but are like £300+

Seeing as this is a common mod on the sv surly there are some cheaper ones...

I found one set for about £170 but no mounts or anything.

Just asking if anyone has had any experience in this and what they would recommend?

Is this a pointy SV? If so, just the belly pen looks cool.

They come up on eBay every now and then but they're like rocking horse shit.

I bought a set of official pointy ones on Fleabay about four years ago, complete with mounting set. £200 + shipping from a seller called banditmania2005.

You want the mountings! There's a number of weird brackets that hold the fairings in place as well as some replacement bolts that go into the engine housing. I wouldn't want to try fitting them without.

See for yourself:

Incidentally, that pic is from a guy selling just the fitting kit so you could then source the lowers on their own from somewhere else...

So far as I know, yes. Note the 'K5 only' bits in the corner of the pack there, I don't recall needing them, I had a K7.

If you don't mind painting them, there's these:

A shame that Powerbronze only makes lowers for Curvies.

EDIT: Also from the mighty 'org, info on Pointy lower fittings:
