My god...this road...if I had time I would have ridden it twice! The sweepers are just gorgeous. It caused 'bobbling' on my rear tyre for god's sake! 
We left on Friday night and returned Sunday afternoon, taking the A36 from Southampton up to Bath and then the M4 over the border. Camping near Talgarth here: https://www.pitchup.com/campsites/Wales/West-Wales/Powys/Talgarth/lower-porthamel-organic-farm/
I wholeheartedly recommend the campsite, it was a quiet field with a good covering of soft grass, and they even supply wood for campfires if you want! The shower water pressure was a bit crap though 
I went with my fiancée, now on the Bros 400 rather than my pillion seat and my friend Bob who's Bandit sadly started playing up shortly after we left; misfiring and generally running like crap. We think it's the ignition coils...the bike has done around 75,000 miles (all him) to be fair.

The road from Llangadog to Brynamman was ridden very slowly...it had my fear of heights going mad. Bloody nice views though!
