Afternoon all.
As titled, 1998 CBR 600 F3 (FW), got some noises going on around the R/H side and CCT is very much suspected.
It is however an Automatic CCT and I'm wondering, if I were to whip it out what would I be looking for to figure out if its the problem (if thats even possible?).

Any thoughts would be very much appreciated.

Best regards

I've never had/diagnosed a CCT issue, but it would be pretty logical to assume that if you popped the rocker cover off and checked the free-play in the cam-chain then you would be given a pretty conclusive answer as to whether or not your tensioner is functioning properly.

I had a CBR600 which, when I bought it, sounded nice but after a couple of minutes running developed 'the rattle'. I removed the tensioner, pulled it apart and added some pre-load onto the spring by carefully taking note of how many turns it took to dismantle it, adding one turn then putting it back together. It went back to sounding nice again and the new owner has put thousands of hard miles onto it since.
