Hi guys,

I recently picked up my '07 zx6r, very happy with it!

I'm looking to get a weatherproof cover for it, had a look on the web and can't find a model specific one, so just wanted some recommendations on what is the best cover to get for it? Having one that is a good fit and isn't a pain in the a£$% to put on and take off is forefront, looking online they come in sizes S, M, L, XL etc and I'm unsure which will fit best?

Price/value for money is also important.

Any recommendations much appreciated!

I use a large on my 2005, but it does hang a little loose and i garage my bike - so i'm not sure if perhaps a medium MIGHT be better for outside to reduce wind whipping underneath the more baggy parts of the cover, unless you under-tie it tightly.

Have a look on here - most have a fair few reviews to give you some good opinions

I went for a high temperature resistant one to be safe, but with an undertail exhaust i think its unlikely you'd hit problems to be honest either way. I'd make sure you get a vented one to let some of the moisture get out in winter etc also.

Oxford Rainex and Stormex are both fairly decent. I use a Large Stormex on my VFR, and it's a bit too small with the top-box on, and too large with the top-box off. So I'd say you'd be fine with a Medium on a compact sportsbike.

I've read some reports (MCN, IIRC) that the Rainex is more waterproof than the Stormex. It's probably more easily transported etc. too; the Stormex has a kind of wooly lining.

The RIDE recommended R&G bike cover would surely cover it.
Had mine for over a year now with no problems, fitting over my YBR and presently my SV with ease Thumbs Up

On my 08 I had an Oxford stormex.

You'll want a size medium. Snug fit easy to get on and off, stays put very nicely in high winds. Kept mine dry and warm outside throughout this winter.

Recommended by me. Thumbs Up
