Absolutely gutted.

I did it all perfectly with no minors from the things I was really nervous about like moving my bike from A to B as I find bikes very heavy, to the speed bits, however on the very last task, the hazard avoidance my toe clipped the cone.

Even the examiner was gutted for me, but what can you do.

Bad luck, at least its a very small mistake you can probably avoid next time round, and youve practiced it once now so even less chance to make other mistakes next time Thumbs Up

I've got it booked again for next week, however it's in a different place and I HAVE to pass this time as I have my mod 2 straight after.

No pressure!!

Bad luck......its fine margins on Mod1 and if youre not on your game its easy to fail.

You shouldn't be getting anywhere near the hazard avoidance cone to be fair. Aim at least a few feet around it and you wont go wrong

I thought exactly this, same chap I had a Mod 2 with. Very big, very imposing, but I have to say fair.

She got to speed perfectly, not needing repeat runs, like the other guy on her course (he failed because of it). ALTHOUGH, I have to say 61 km/h may have been a factor in not getting it perfect. I'm sure she'll kick me when I get home for saying that.

No, I had the same thought. I was so worried about going to slowly I went to fast and just couldn't get round the cone. Still gutted.

Not the one I'm thinking of, then. Pretty sure that examiner was trolling me at the time, what with the whole 'emergency stop on tar banding, worn shell grip and patches of back ice.' It's almost as if he went out of his way to find the crappiest bit of road that he could. Still, at least I learnt what binning the bike felt like, I guess.

She started DAS, 3 days after losing her father, but insisted on pressing on as she had booked it a fortnight prior and wanted something else to focus on. Has done really well, impressed me no end, not even considering the other circumstances.

She reckons it's her Dad's way of not allowing her to ride a bike, he never knew. She only told her mother when she turned up on a bike at the weekend.

Congrats in advance for when you pass next week!

From what I have read above, you've done really well considering your circumstances. You need a big pat on the back for this! Thumbs Up

Advantage Wimbledon were great. I did an hours free get on course with them plus my CBT and now my DAS. I have no complaints at all.

I'll let you all know what happens with my tests on Thurday, fingers crossed.

I did both mine in Farnborough. No problems there, a nice big open tarmac area dedicated to Mod 1. The roads around Farnborough are a good mix, and nothing I can think of in the way of areas to watch out for. Just do your obvs and you'll be fine Thumbs Up

Thanks for that, was getting worried. I did my Mod 1 in Mitcham which is massive, so it's good to know that Farnborough is the same.
