Had a day off so decided to ride around York and hit various landmarks. Started off with the National Railway Museum which is, frankly, a pretty amazing place made even better thanks to free entry. The quality of the exhibits is top notch, to say the least.

Park on pavement and avoid £9 parking lot Twisted Evil Moar money for donating to the museum Twisted Evil Twisted Evil

These are the old gods of speed. Before bikes and cars, trains were punching the ton in the tits and doing it up the gary.

What a brute! Based off a 'slimmed-down American design'. Those Yankee porkers..

They had a Mallard simulator. I must have looked dodgy as f**k going on board with two kids as company Confused

You can watch trains being restored live. Not much action when I got there due to it being late in the day (just one guy crating components).

After the NRM, ended up at Clifford's Tower after some detours involving ice cream and filtering through large crowds of tourists (overtook a motorised wheelchair and felt really, really guilty for some reason).

Finally stopped by the river along Skeldergate for a brief chillout before heading home. Took this picture which upon examination led to some pensive moments.

Two seats. Two different paths. You could choose the bench. A quiet life on the roadside, watching the world pass you by...

Or you could get on the bike and zoom off into the sunset with the wind howling in your ears and a huge shiteating grin plastered across your face.

Decisions, decisions...

Judging by the state of those road markings you could probably have just parked on the road.

Thanks for the offers guys, but the Bros has eaten it's second starter motor (the damn things must be really tasty!) in less than a month and also managed to loosen the rear tyre valve which will necessitate rear wheel removal to fix. Pretty annoyed at the moment Evil or Very Mad

There's a pub in Market Weighton called the Goodmanham Arms which has a collection of vintage motorcycles (although not very specific as to what sorts). Been meaning to check it out for a while so a ride there might be in order once I sort out some wheels Smile
