When you say the engine is not starting, do you mean that it's not cranking or that it's cranking but won't fire?
CHEC means that the engine is not ready to run. Usually means the stand is down, or the bike thinks it's down because of a faulty switch. Another reason could be the red engine run switch, prone to faults on Suzukis. With the ignition on, turn the run switch off then on again, you should hear the pump prime. If it doesn't either the switch is faulty or it's feed is interrupted by the alarm/immobiliser. If the bike has an alarm fitted, most likely that's the reason. ____________________ a.k.a 'Geri'
