I'm a whore for Yamaha. Always will be. Will certainly have other makes in the future, but I always feel at home sat on an FZR. Feel totally in control of the bike, what it's going to do, etc. Only seem to get it with Y's.

Most likely a placebo of some sort, meh. Laughing

What manufacturer have you been attracted to most over the years? Any reasons why?

For whore purposes.

Suzuki for the GSX-R. from the first poster I had on my wall of the WR 1100 in grey and purple which gave me one of my first boners (is that wrong??) it looked so fucking perfect to an 11yr old lad. To my first pillion ride on a slabby 750 to my first own Gixxer and now on only my 4th gixxer and still grinning like a wanking lad every time I get on it!.

Not one of those types that thinks all other bikes are shite, or that everything about every gixxer is perfect, just for me it will always be a GSX-R except the 2013 one with that fuckin ugly front. Looking foward to seeing the 2014 MotoGP machine....

Triumph, Buell.

Yamaha do make some of the best bikes out there, but they also make some of the worst. Although Suzuki's aren't as well built or as well thought out, their range seems to be consistently better over the years than the hit and miss Yams. Honda seem to make terminally boring bikes and only occasionally seem to accidentally make something exciting, and Kawasaki seem to make generic a bit nuts but with flaws UJM's.

Buell have made bikes which are consistently good, as have KTM. KTM's however are made for tall Austrians and so don't generally suit me. Triumph again make a lot of hit and miss bikes like Yamaha, but the ones that are hits do appeal to me.

Mainly owned Yamahas and was on the lookout for another Yam, an early 4XV R1. It had to be red/white and I was struggling to find onw at a reasonable price.

Then I saw a 1997 Honda Fireblade and that was it. Two months on I love the bike, its looks, the quality. First Honda and I must admit it has made me open my eyes to other makes.

Used to be Hondas, because of the component and build quality. I'm no longer that fussy though.

Zontes Wub

The two piece handle bars, angular mirrors, sharp cut fuel tank lines and poised headlamps give the Panther a throughly up to date look, enhancing the overall build quality.

As with all Zontes 125 engines, they utlising the overhead cam and counterbalanaced crackshaft which delivers smooth power great economy.

whats not to love? Laughing

(please note the sarcasm, god bless. <---even more sarcasm.)

I like Italian bikes - Ducati, Aprilia the most. Even German BMW is not so gay anymore.
But my next bike will be either ZX-10R or ZX-12R I think Wink

I like Yamaha I feel they have a decent built quality, I also like Triumph as I like their bikes and their Philosophy.

I hate Suzuki's every one I've ridden/Owned has been shit. I'll NEVER buy another.

Honda's the ones I've ridden seem sterile, Although I'm vaguely thinking about an NC700X as a TDM replacementr in the future. Although heart says no. Laughing

Thinking back I'm not sure I have ever ridden a Quack.

Honda.
They have market share and make approx 1/3 of all motorcycles made or something; hence most common.
Never set out to buy a Honda... just end up doing so.
Something of a Honda take-over happening here... at last count, my car is made by Honda, my lawn mower made by Honda and all my bikes made by... hold on NO... that ONE says 'Montesa' on the engine... Ah... well, yeah, they are just OWNED by Honda arent they? Rolling Eyes
Curiousely, bike I learned to ride on was a Suzuki SP370.
I have owned a Kawasaki, a handful of Yamahas; & many Hondas, but NEVER a Suzuki.

Have owned a selection of most major makes and some weird and wonderfuls as well.

I am not overly fussed about brand, all of the makers tried thus far have good and bad machines.

The very worst I have come across is a Honda(VF750), but I have owned a very good honda (XBR500).

I have more of a preference for air/oil cooled 4's of the 80's hence all the early GSXR's and FJ1200s.

I must admit, although I started briefly on a Yamaha, I usually gravitate towards Triumph but one bike I've seen lately would make me change brands.

BMW because I... actually have no idea why. They're overpriced and expensive to service and not even amazingly reliable or good looking.

*he said, hurriedly hiding the R1200r brochures under his desk*

I've owned three Hondas, but that's only because a Honda dealer is less than a half a mile from my house.

There's a Kawasaki dealer directly across the street from the Honda dealer. But, you know, it's a big street... Maybe one day I'll cross it.
