Blue or green give more bhp than orange. This is because orange reflects light differently, and so doesn't flow as fast. ____________________ My Flickr |

There are a few different types:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antifreeze
All are as good as each other, can't mix blue/green and orange types together (apparently).
Can't use antifreeze if you're racing.
50-50 mix will be fine for the UK, Northerly points of Scotland may need a different mix in winter. ____________________ My Flickr |

Don't need to phaph with deionised water now-a-days.
Buy a good quality Pre-Mixed Coolant,
Drain AND FLUSH the system.
Add the new coolant and bleed.
If you fill slowly the system SHOULD self bleed but if in an Adolescent/Pre-pubescent rush (as they do) then you may trap air crack the head and then hell will mend you.
50:50 is the max anything more will not increase the 'anti-freezing' ability and can cause harm due to the salts dropping out of solution.
The thing is once it's done it should be good for two to three years. If you buy a 'long-life/extended life coolant then it will last until biking in Europe is eventually banned.
e.g. five year coolant

Tip:
If you add a teaspoon of baking powder you can hardly taste the bittering agent. ____________________ W-ireless A-rtificial L-ifeform L-imited to O-bservation P-eacekeeping and E-fficient R-epair |
