Interesting that they take a racing driver to show up a fool.

Very Happy

They're all too true, problem is getting people to listen!

Isn't that the A702?

Only a cock would be going on it anyway, it's a shit road with too many slow drivers. Unless they're top-speed testing on the Dolphinton Straight...

If people are crashing-out on corners like they showed there, fuck them, shouldn't have been on the road anyway. Sefl-limiting problem in my book.

Well say I'm a farmer and the twat takes out two of my best milkers? Smile

It's not a good road to go scaddin' about on it's wet and the camber is all over the place.

Maybe they thought people would take more notice of someone that could drive

Become a less nanny state and less us choose the fucking speeds. If I want to do 100mph and bin it through a hedge because my balls were bigger than my brain, so be it.

That's why we have speed limits

Only watched the first vid, it's a bit scripted and sensationalist but makes a good point,

Going fast isn't purely about how long you can keep the throttle open for but how you set the car up, keeping it smooth.

why aren't people taught proper car control when learning to drive?

Gotta disagree Paddy, if you bin it through a hedge because of testiculus excessivus, someone has to scrape you up and that costs.

You claim two new cows off their insurance. And a new fence.

Winner.

Pretty good, but how is Coulthard's car magically keeping up at 30mph when the "ghost car" is doing 70+?

Oh I know, I fully get that. Same as we all have to pay to keep druggies nice and safe and rapists to have their Xbox and Sky TV whilst serving shortened sentences while Mr 120mph overtake hurting no one get fucked for 18 months.

Without sounding harsh, I couldn't care who comes to scrape me up, its their job and they know full well what they are employed to do. I know when I wake up i'm going to have to deal with people being shitty and shouting at me down a phone. If I don't like it, I know where the door is Wink

I know its pretty blunt but I bought my bike for fun, not for keeping within the limits. I have a car for that. If there is no fun and I don't take risks, I can't see the point of owning a bike, hell, being alive without risks and fun is no life at all.

I therefore think if everyone has an issue with speeding, buy a 125 rather than the 150mph+ machines you currently own, let me know how much you enjoy it Laughing

Agreed, go as fast as you want, sentences for speeding are ghey, I just think if you're being a twat and driving 100mph on wet country roads and you then kill/hit someone on a bike/car then you should be done for manslaughter or assault end of.

"I know its pretty blunt but I bought my bike for fun, not for keeping within the limits."
I don't believe you can get insurance for that. Confused

It's not the mess you create that I have issue with but the fact that reckless behaviour puts MY safety at risk when I'm in 'Sensible' mode.

We can all be reckless but we have absolutely no moral right to put others at risk.
That is called 'being a cunt about things'.

The message is 'Keep The Heid'. Even on a race track, where we are allowed to go as fast as possible, an idiot will be banned/punished for reckless behaviour.
So bringing the same mong-tard/selfish attitude to driving/riding on our public roads is not acceptable.

Can I just ask?

You have an S1000RR don't you? Why did you spend all that money on such a powerful machine if you only believe that fast riding should be kept to trackdays?

Bit of an expensive track toy if you only do a couple a year...

I'll have passed you well before I become an issue to your riding. Typically, my fast riding is done with 1 or 2 other faster riders. If we encounter other bikers, typically holding us up, we'll go round them and continue.

At no point would we aim to injure you Laughing

Who says I only do a couple? Or need the full potential of a track based bike to enjoy the effects?

The weapon is not the issue here it is the intent.

But it's like being against shooting guns, yet owning one. What would be the point of having it in the first place?

Lets not run away from the initial post, but I own a fast bike cos I like going fast. I have a car for mundane tasks, I also have a slow bike should I want to ride to work.

I want to be able to enjoy my weekends being a complete hooligan. For that, the litre bike will suffice.

I act a dick away from most others, crashes and shit would be my own wrong doing.

I'm with Paddy.

Main reason I like bikes is that you get fast car performance for little money. If I go on a quiet NSL and come off and end up in a coffin then that's my doing.

As others have mentioned, the people who have to clean up the mess chose the job knowing that. If anything I'll be creating jobs Laughing

Aslong as no one else becomes a victim, who cares?

Adjust your speed on country roads. This COULD mean increase your speeds.
I agree tho. Drive fast as fuck if its safe to do so. On a wet road covered in cow shit then your better off driving a bit slow so you can drive fast some other time. I wish police had the ability to recognize if a speeding driver is doing so recklessly or sensibly. That said maybe they do, but just like to throw their weight around regardless.
