KFC refusing to serve breasts

So I was passing by in KFC this evening (don't ask), and the guy next to me ordered some meal, asking for chicken breast pieces. This was fine.

He then ordered another of the same meal, for his wife. This was refused, on the basis of "we can't serve 4 breasts in meals to a customer".

Apparently there are not enough breasts, the manager even came over as the guy was kicking off and told him that chickens only have 2 breasts and one person can't take them all

I thought it was a reasonable order to make, I mean.. he's the customer right? He was not happy. He wanted a breast meal for himself, and one for his wife. Simples? Apparently not.


Opinions? (apart from the fact KFC is greasy, mutated shite)

Note: Customer was not a youthful chav/scum.. but a polite guy in a suit that was being refused his order, and becoming forcefully polite in demanding he has what he wants.

It probably will do. Irate suit guy was demanding the managers card and getting rather frustrated when I left. Their argument of "we can't sell them all to one person" was just illogical, since that's pretty much the bulk of what they sell to people

Kinda wanted to stay and hear its conclusion but I also wanted to ride home and enjoy my fruit shoot.

What pisses me off with kfc is when you get nothing but wings and rib cages because they have taken to stripping the meat off to make strips but still sell the left overs as a whole portion.

The "a chicken only has two breasts" bit is retarded, they only have two thighs, drumstick and wings too but you still get stitched up with shit loads a wings if you are not lucky.

Are we really being asked to believe that KFC actually cook and apportion whole chickens? I always thought that they simply purchased parts of chickens from whichever part of the world was providing them at the cheapest price.

Its not a fine dining restaurant nor does it say chicken breast on every meal. You have to request or get lucky by the sounds of things.

I always used to get breast only with no problem but they changed their policy a few months ago as I was refused with the same reason. Clearly a lot of other people worked out the breast is the only decent bit, the rest being skanky shite, and were turning KFC into KFB.

it's because the chickens are supplied portioned up and you don't order particular pieces from the suppliers, just pre chopped birds. So it's unfair on the other customers to allow some greedy cunt to ask for em. I never allowed it and customers could like it or lump it. Head office never gave two shits about the complaints.

the strips and burgers are supplied seperately from the on the bone chicken.

basically a person that asks for a breast piece is a selfish cunt of politician/banker proportions that deserves to be raped to death with a sharpened chicken leg bone.

Charge more for breast; keep increasing the price until the demand matches the supply.

When I was a kid there always used to be an argument about who was going to have the "parson's nose" on a roast chicken. I could never understand that. Why would you want the arse? Gross.

You'd think all chicken joints would price accordingly, breast pieces being premium cuts - and ribcages or legs being the subject of "value packs".

Some smart marketing cunt has already managed to make a big deal out of "wings" ... fucking spicy wings. There's fuck all meat on a wing. But people wet themselves over buffalo wings, spicy wings or whatever other wings; fuck off its the arm, with a massive great bone in it.

And yet I can walk into Waitrose/Sainsbury's/Aldi and buy a trolley-full of nothing but chicken breasts. Presumably these same chickens had only two breasts, leaving the rest of their carcasses to be used elsewhere. Maybe KFC could start offering chicken soup to use up that bothersome 'waste'.

And yet in Asia, the breast is the cheapest part (or used to be before they realised this).
