Posted: 01:10 - 11 Nov 2013 Post subject: Any lighting engineers out there need help with DMX issues |
 |
|
I recently bought 4 x par 56 and 4 x par 64's (along with some other lights) and a Eurolight LC2412 lighting desk
now being that I'm a sound engineer this Lighting malarkey is all new to me
up till now I just set up my existing lights as master / slave and set master to sound to light
and connected them using DMX cables in pairs (2 x acme dynamo and 2 Acme Super Scimitars)
I've figured out how to control the Par's to give me RGB on 6 channels 3 for the par 56 side and 3 for the par 64's
but thats as far as I can get, I can't get the chase mode to function
or the sound to light
in fact all I can get it to do is the RGB off the faders I have set up
the manual isn't great but here is the info I have on the lights DMX settings
CH-1 MODE 0 - 63 = RGB Control, 64 - 127 = 7 Colour fades, 128 - 191 = 7 Colour changes, 192 - 255 = 3 Colour changes
CH-2 RED 0 - 255 = DIM
CH-3 GREEN 0 - 255 = DIM
CH-4 BLUE 0 - 255 = DIM
CH-5 Speed 11 - 100 = high to low, 151 - 255 = Speed control by the device, via music or controller
On Line Manual for the par's
Eurolight Online Manual
any help appreciated as I want to get into this to improve out shows and lighting capability's ____________________ I have become comfortably numb
