After been talked into installing MSN Plus or something IE now has an annoying bar.

Anyone know how to get rid of it?

Cheers.

But you still have Adware on your PC, MSN plus comes with it, but you can stop it being installed by clicking "Please don't install third Party sponser" Wink

Go on use Adaware to get rid of...www.lavasoftusa.com

You have a coolweb infection. Download https://tools.zerosrealm.com/CWShredder.zip, unzip and click fix.

End task the following file via task manager.
intrachin.exe

Run another hijackthis scan. Place a check next to the following entries, then close all other windows and click the fix button.

R0 - HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,Start Page = https:// mysearchnow.com/passthrough/inde...w.msn.com/
R1 - HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main,SearchAssistant = about:blank
O2 - BHO: (no name) - {CDB875D8-E460-0892-96CE-6DECC8DB9F88} - C:\PROGRAM FILES\GLUELINKGLOBAL\WAYFORK.DLL
O3 - Toolbar: does data info - {48B5A29D-1D9E-0F11-F459-D88573720BB3} - C:\PROGRAM FILES\GLUELINKGLOBAL\WAYFORK.DLL
O4 - HKLM\..\Run: [mapi 1] C:\PROGRA~1\LISTTR~1\intrachin.exe

Then reboot into safe mode and delete these folders.
C:\PROGRAM FILES\GLUELINKGLOBAL
C:\PROGRA~1\LISTTR~1

You may have to enable hidden files to find all the files.

Then reboot and run another hijackhtis scan.

Hope this helps. Got rid of it for me. I never left MSNPlus installed though. Let me know if anyone gets rid of the spyware while still keeping plus installed! Thumbs Up

Whilst we're on the subject of infections, on all my web pages it highlights loads of words as if to say that they're hyperlinks when they aren't. And every now and again when i try to open a page (usually on my hotmail account) an error message appears to say that it can't open the page.

Does anyone know what the problem might be?

Thanks,

k xx
