spongy leaver means air in the system still. My zx6r has a bleed nipple at the master cylinder, maybe you overlooked this one?

Bleed at the m/c as well

I had one of those bleed nipples on my Gixer thou at the m/c,makes it easier but just use a rag to stop the fluid going over the plastics.

Pump the lever a few times then crack the banjo bolt open, then repeat a few times.

I just replaced them with 4-potters on the gixxer... direct swap no brackets required, instant brake improvement. Just need a pair for the ZX9 now.

Get rid of them, and get some 4 pots from Nissin. ZXR P1, happy owner of 4 pots from Nissin. Thumbs Up

If you had reasonable pressure before the rebuild then there is not much of a reason to not get pressure now other than for air in the system.

I have some Sumitomo 6 pot calipers on the front of my Exup1000 and had air in the system after fitting them.By removing the front master cylinder from the clip on I tilted it so that the air trapped around the banjo bolt moved to the bleed hole in the master cylinder and I was then able to bleed it thoroughly and have had no loss in pressure.

Not sure what it is about the Tokico 6 pot calipers. They have not got a good reputation on TL1000R or GSXR1000K1/K2 models either Rolling Eyes

Have you wrapped the bleed nipple threads with PTFE tape to prevent air from being sucked back into the caliper during the bleed procedure?

Ah the old Tokico 6 pots. What I ended up doing is attaching the hose from the nipple back into the res and just kept pumping the lever - creating a big loop with the res being the vent. Switching between callipers periodically.

This seemed to work but did take a fair bit of time.

I had a similar experience when I rebuilt mine.

Have you tried cracking the bleed nipple off with a pipe on it and leaving the other end of the pipe submerged in a tub of brake fluid and pumping the lever? This really works a treat you can get so much fluid through the system in a really short space of time.
