How longs a piece of string? If you want to know your actual output you need to go on ebay and spend about 4 quid on a multimeter then measure the output from the alt.

You need a proper ammeter to measure the current out of a bike alternator. A multimeter can usually only handle up to 10A for a few seconds before melting.

Why do you need to measure the output current of the alternator?

If you are wanting to test for a dead phase you can connect up a 55W headlight bulb to each phase, at idle it will pull about 5A at about 12V, you can then test the voltage from each with el cheepo multimeter. Don't rev the bike though or the bulbs will explode.

Other than that I cant see why you would need to test the current output. Also as Robby said don't use a multimeter to measure the current when in the normal system, they can put out 20-30A per phase.
