For soft link the cheap ones are probably fine. I have a cheapy which came from M&P which does the job, and the same tool is sold with numerous brand names (one like this).
For the harder links then a Whale tool is probably required.
All the best
Keith | I've been using one of those since the mid 90s, broke the largest pin, never replaced it just used the mid size pin ever since, but now I wipe an angle grinder over the rivet to remove most of the head before using the tool. I reckon it's done about 15 of my chains and 4 or 5 when lent to other people. The pin normally breaks when lent out, but everyone so far has kindly returned it with a new pin. ____________________ Blackmail is a nasty word........but not as nasty as phlegm!

I bought one of these: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/171079220068
Instructions are useless, but the kit does the job nicely. ____________________ 2004 R1 & 2018 XSR900 |

I made mine for nothing out of an old G clamp, 2 large bolts (M24 and M12) and a centrepunch. ____________________ Blue_SV650S wrote: it was a sh1te wheelie, but it proves that he can get it up in 3rd and can do angles.
