Know nothing about it currently, should be arriving in a few days. Been left on a farm in a barn for a few years.

I don't have any more details than above, other than that the engine runs but clutch/chain/sprockets gone (unsurprisingly).

Iain's thread has inspired me a bit and fancy a rebuild project. What do I need to consider?

At a few years stood, a rebuild.

My RS was rebuilt, left for 8 months, by that time condensation, air, moisture had got inside, ruining the bearings and perished the seals as no lovely oil was flowing round them.

Be a good fun project, road legal or not? Very Happy

Possible Stolen and abandoned but legit from what I can tell, police informed a long time ago. Will have it checked as it's not costing me anything. Might pick up a legit frame/reg and swap out. Depends really.

Rebuild was definitely on the cards, for education purposes as much as anything! Thumbs Up

EDIT: It was actually stolen and recovered to the owner a while later, the guy who is passing on to me, he just put it in his barn rather than back on the road. So it's complete bar mangled lock and electrics. Possibly as much as 10 years ago. Once docs obtained, potentially road legal.

DT125 LC2 It hasn't been off-roaded, stolen, recovered to owner and then left in a barn. Just need a way to collect it.

Sell it to me.

I currently have wine gums and half a cup of sex piss to sweeten the deal.

How much you are going to sell it to me for.

I'll start the bidding at 10 english pounds. That puts you in profit son.

Obviously, I have given consideration to your more than generous offers, as I haven't seen it yet it would be totally wrong of me to accept.

With regret, do one!

I bought a DT125LC II for £25 after it had stood in a garden uncovered for four years. It was in a pretty sorry state Sad

It was stripped, cleaned and new parts bought for it.Many parts only needed a clean, like the seat, which polished up nicely after using some cream cleanser usually used for cleaning the kitchen sink. The engine ran perfectly, with no problems. It was sold on as I had no need for another bike, and the new owner was really chuffed with it Thumbs Up

That looks fabulous, when I get it I can see what it's like and figure out what to do next.
