What's going on with the forum the past few days? It's gone really slow and people keep refreshing their post page and posting stuff twice, sometimes thrice.

Even happening in chat as well, seems to briefly drop connection then double or triple send a message.

Also having problems with BCF using all width or whatever, if I have BCF open, Chat open and then open Youtube etc, it drops every connection and have to stop each window, leave it a few seconds then refresh it.

It is also taking quite a while to post, sometimes up to 5 minutes to create a new thread.

Yesterday it said I was connected in chat with green light on, turns out I wasn't connected at all. It did explain why no one was talking Thinking

Phileh, that is causing the issue, people are thinking it hasn't posted when it has, and then click refresh and it is usually past the "you have posted recently" time out. New threads do take a while, but posts are instant if you go back to the thread you just posted in, it should appear whilst still loading

There's been a lot of database maintenance work going on since last Friday. Some of this requires the forum to go offline for short periods, but the majority is done in the background which can sometimes cause posting to be delayed.

I'm sure clearing out Teflons posts should resolve most of the lag issues... honest.

Make sure you're not comparing quality with quantity.

Yes. Seems to hang-up for me too.

If it's hanging up, I can open the site in a new tab and be reading my reply while the tab I posted it from is still hanging on the "post a reply" screen.

When it does this, can you wait until it's finished and copy+paste the debugging information from the bottom of the page?

It looks something like this:

Quote:
Debug Mode: ON - Server: peanuts - Page Generation Time: 0.03 Sec - Server Load: 0.8 - MySQL Queries: 18 - CDN Objects: 52 - Page Size: 79.27 Kb

People need to be educated that the delete button is right next to the edit button, and the edit page has got a tick box to delete the post.

It just happened now. Took a good minute and a half to go through. Browsed three other topics in another tab while I was waiting.
Code:

Debug Mode: ON - Server: peanuts (www) - Page Generation Time: 0.05 Sec - Server Load: 2.15 - MySQL Queries: 78 - CDN Objects: 29 - Page Size: 32.66 Kb

EDIT:

And again. I could read my post in a new tab 35 seconds before the "post successful" screen appeared from when I submitted the reply.
Code:
Debug Mode: ON - Server: peanuts (www) - Page Generation Time: 0.03 Sec - Server Load: 0.83 - MySQL Queries: 28 - CDN Objects: 29 - Page Size: 31.21 Kb

I managed to get a quadruple post in the basic maintenance thread, thought it was down to my internet. Tbh it probably doesn't help that my internet comprises of an owl sending messages, my facebook chat connections been dropping out a lot all week.

Today feels much better Thumbs Up Thanks for what probably is a lot of behind the scenes work.
