https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2013/nov/20/uk-immigration-romania-bulgaria-mark-harper

The government says oh we won't have mass migration, a lie which they pedalled around 2001-2005 they were wrong, mass migration took place wages fell across the board.

The Poles came when there was wage arbitrage of 10 to 1. It has fallen to 7:1

Romanians have a wage of 1Euro an hour. So have a 9:1 arbitrage advantage.

Strange goings on too

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/immigration/10461099/Student-loans-to-Bulgarians-and-Romanians-frozen.html

But the fascist government says its OK, so it must be true.

I expect more propaganda about lazy Brits and those who think jobs are too good for them. I also expect many to swallow it hook line sinker.

As a side note, some of my classes have increased enormously, people who aren't signed up and haven't paid keep coming to the free trial sessions over and over. 17 large families of Romanians have just appeared in our town, and for the first time ever the local colleges are opening on Sunday because they anticipate extreme demand for English classes.

At least it's happening in winter, so the rivers of blood will freeze over.

Cameron and co are going to wank themselves stupid about all the zero hours contracts they will be able to put people on after another half a million come in after jobs.

Oh, and their children will go to our already overcrowded schools and they will make use of the NHS which we won't charge them for.

So, yep, great idea, open the gates.

FFS there are already 100's of Romanian beggars sleeping and shitting rough in London.

I should point out i'm very much against this, however - something to mull over on that point in particular.

There has been a huge influx of romanians and bulgarians already, seeminlgy un-noticed by a lot of the media into healthcare [private predominantly as the NHS is a bit more strict with language requirements and the like].

This has happened as there is genuienely very few english people willing to work in care, particularly private care, now theres an arguement to be had for low wages which is true, but as with agricultural jobs, the door was left open and the seats filled mainly because english people weren't taking them.

Now in a country where we have a shit load of people on benefits [who are british - as well as all the other scrounging foreigners], these jobs would give full time liveable wage, but people do not want to do it, i think its hard to dispute that in relation to these jobs in particular.

The point with all this sort of immigration, as with the polish when labour originally opened the gates, is it tends to go into industry that has little legislation - or at least legislation thats monitored and followed.

Manual labour.
Cleaning.
Care.
Agriculture.
Cash-in-hand anything.

If the [admittedly bollucks half the time] legislation was followed regards things like health and safety, minimum standards and all the other shite that affects most of us in 'normal jobs', most of these people wouldn't get jobs in the first place as for starters they often lack enough language capacity to get the job on that basis.

But unfortunantely its so unregulated, privatised and off-the-record with many of these jobs they are prime-candidates, particularly when they can be milked of minimum wage, holiday pay, and other 'employee rights' they know nothing about.

The government clamping down on employers would have just as much effect as any changes to immigration law, but then thats messing with big-business Rolling Eyes

Crock of crap, any Romanian or Bulgarian has only had to sell the big issue for less than 16 hours a week on a self employed basis to gain U.K benefits and housing (as they have always done) since they joined the EU, bit late in the day to worry about full membership ffs as it means much the same.

Dad spoke to me in the morning of my day off saying make sure the front door is shut as he had to throw one out of looking round the garage!

The romanian pretended to be drunk. There's about 20 of them who live in the big house at the end of the road. Gypsy scum, loads at the village school aswell. Always chucking their tenants super strenght cans wherever they like and getting a good look at everyones houses as the walk down the road!

Had an argument with a few at work too, scummiest people I have ever met, and I've met cum dumpter benefit whores

Sadly, hence the way many of these issues arise without question, it takes the daily mails much outdated and warped political shit-stirring to get the attenton of most of the population Rolling Eyes By which time their misguided ranting and efforts are usually far too late and in vain.

I can't believe the amount of petty prejudice and stereotyping in this thread.

This is why the Roma community needs passionate, positive campaigners like Lavinia Olmazu to represent them and advocate for their rights.

I for one welcome the immigration judges' decision to allow her to stay in the UK even after being convicted and jailed for 2 years for running a £2.9 million benefits fraud ring.

Say hello to the future.

I have no issue immigrants coming to the UK and working as long as they don't nick from my house, claim benefits because "Western societies are better than my own" and LEARN ENGLISH.

I resat my English GCSE last year (kept failing it coz I is a tard innit, 4 times I got a D before getting a C Laughing) and 80% of the class were Eastern Europeans. Half were there because the dole made them go.

Cunts. If I moved to Poland and didn't learn Polish they'd go nuts.

There is a big difference between Roma and Romanian though. In Romania itself, the Romanians absolutely hate the Roma and there is tension between the different peoples.

Not really true. There are a lot of British people living and working in Poland and 99.99% of them do not speak any Polish. They rely on the Poles' ability and/or desire to talk English for everything. And in many cases, the Poles accomodate.

The gypo scumbag Big Issue sellers, gold swindlers, beggars and accordion players have already come over on the self employed ticket, as has been mentioned earlier in the thread. I used to see the clan getting off the 192 from Longsight every morning, ready for a days grafting, and used to listen to all the regular issue sellers bitching about the Romanians stealing their pitches, as well as the scams they pulled on that one. There's a few Bulgarians over doing "self employed" work none of you would get out of bed for too.

The expected deluge will likely put extra pressure on the low skilled sector of the working populace, including the Poles.

As for the "Fuck the low skilled Brits" idea, since the bubble hasn't completely burst yet on the Fairy Princesses of IT, you do realise that this will also affect little Tarquin and Jemima when they leave school/college/uni and their expected dream career hasn't materialised, and they aren't qualified or skilled to do anything else?

Still I suppose if the girl has a sweet arse or pretty face, she can always go on the game, although no doubt prices will have been driven further down in that sector too from even cheaper, newer East European working girls eager to make a good few bob sucking cock in England.

As for the lad, well if he's up for it he could try renting his arse out too. No doubt those who carouse Sackville Park or Chorlton St will appreciate the tender, fresh chicken.
