I have a 2001 RS 125 that is leaking/pissing water out of the header tank cap and overheating, I have changed the head gasket, thermostat and radiator, flushed the pipes and bled them and it is still doing it there seems to be a major pressure build up.. Anyone know what the problem could be? The water pump seems to be working as well.

Hi

What coolant are you using? 50 / 50 mix of water and anti freeze?

All the best

Hi

If the cooling system is working normally but still pressurising then suggests a 'leak' somewhere. You have changed the head gasket O ring so hopefully that is OK, but possibly time to check for a cracked head or barrel.

All the best

Keith

Could the cap itself be damaged and releasing pressure early? I had that problem on one of my cars. The bottom of the cap had split.

Assuming it is actually overheating. Does the fan turn on when it should?
