Getting oil sight glass clear again...

My lad's Varadero XL125V has had an issue with the oil.
I'd think some water in the oil, the oil level sight glass is cloudy (opaque).

He seems to think something to do with the carb originally. I can't say.

Anyhow, oil changed. Looked ok, not milky.
Ran up fine. Sight glass still cloudy though.

I'm thinking a longish run up to decent temperature might help clear.
Followed by another oil change.
Would this help?
Or has the glass/plastic (whatever it's made from) just gone with age/use (unlikely given I've much older machines with clear glass, but it was a thought).

Some (like on my Pan) can be removed without taking off the engine covers, but I bet the Varadero one is fitted from inside?

I reckon getting up to temperature on a few good runs and it should clear. Seems unlikely that the glass has clouded, probably just covered in white gunge.

Probably just condensation.

As the others have said, warm it up and give it a few runs, should clear, one of my bikes had the same problem.

If you're not loosing any coolant then I wouldn't worry too much about it.

If it's bothering you, drop the oil, whip the case off and give it a wipe from the inside.
