CG 125 Accelerator pump

Hi

I have a suspicion that the accelerator pump on my carb is fubar.

Does anybody know if the bike will run on a carb of the same spec but without an accelerator pump? (it seems the earlier models had no pump)

but it turns out my CG has a pump!

It either squirts petrol at wide open throttle or it doesn't, if you haven't got a pump fitted it might just bog down for a couple of seconds if you wang the throttle open.

check your air filter is clean and the jets in the carb are clear, pump really shouldn't make much difference.

Check that the spring that holds the diaphragm in place is correctly placed.

When I bought my CG I had all sorts of carb problems, to find that the spring had been put behind the diaphragm which kept it permanently shut.
