spark plug condition

See pictures below. The color and tip look OK. But above the thread is what looks like some oil but really thick and sticky like thick syrup. This bike hasn't run for a few days so this may be oil that has dried and or fuel? I don't know. Could this be a leak seal or something? I'm putting new plugs in anyway but need to know if I should strip it down. I'm doing a compression test when I get the adaptor

The pics suggest a Honda Hornet 600 Thumbs Up

As for the spark plugs,they look ok.Clean with a brass wire brush and reinstall.

Yeah sorry its is a hornet 600. It was just this sticky gunk at the top of the thread that was concerning. Maybe a bit of leftover oil or fuel forced up the thread and can't be removed. No worries. As long as the compression reads OK it won't need a strip down.

Just a question but are the dirty plugs from the left side of the engine? And nothing to really worry about as the seal needs to be on the top side of the plug washer anyhow but would be interested to know
