Hi all, Can I get some advice please?
I took the bike out for a ride yesterday to Poole quay for the bike night (about 55 miles there). We had a look around and when I got back to the bike there was petrol dripping from somewhere.
I couldnt see any obvious split pipes so started the bike up and it sounded like it was only running on 3 cylinders. I had no choice as i needed to get back so rode back carefully, after about a minute of riding it seemed to start firing on all 4. I thought I'd better stop at mates place half way back for a coffee. I stayed about 10 minutes then checked the bike and no leaking so came home. When i got ack i just put the bike away and left it.
I have checked it today and there is no leaking so I am wondering what has happened
A guy I was with thinks the carbs may have got filled with petrol and it came out the overflow. Is this possible?? The bike was sat on a slight incline with the front higher than the back.
I will put it into a garage in the next day or two to get checked but thought it might be wise to ask for some advice first.
Thanks

Probably got a bit of crap temporarily stopping a needle valve from working.
If you've got an inline fuel filter, change it; if you haven't, fit one.
Also check the inside of your tank for rust and, if your bike spends periods of time unused, keep the tank full. ____________________ Things get better with age; I'm close to being magnificent........

Thanks for the replies, I will have a proper look at it over the weekend if I get the time and try and find out what's going on.
