Were you once my old boss?

He too was called Mr Silverman, though he ate bucket loads of bacon and only pretended to be devout.

After 6 months of inactivity from the Police the same happened to me, I got the very same letter.

The guy refused and it eventually went to court. He was found guilty, fined £250 fine, £450 court costs and 5 points- bellend!!

I clearly state that when I eat pork (3x weekly) it's only due to wanting to grow my foreskin back Wink

If your old boss would now be 26 and a fine looking fellow then that's me

Love the impersonal pro-forma standard letter. Only had to pick your name and incident to put in the predefined fields. They worked at it though, up to Version 2 of that letter already Rolling Eyes
The saving grace is it looks hand-signed.

On topic, as said at least they're doing something. As a victim nice you don't get any influence.

So basically instead of a fine, points, possible ban, the offender gets a training course for a mere £195, and the Police and CPS have to do bugger-all.

https://www.driver-improvement.co.uk/index.php/home/driver-alertness-course/what-is-the-driver-alertness-course

Quote:
The current course will run for 6 hours and will consist of an in-class interactive workshop and an on-road practical session (using professional instructors in dual-controlled vehicles). Participants will receive a workbook to guide them through each element of the course and this is available to take away at the end.

The aims and objectives of the Driver Alertness Course are to help drivers explore their attitudes & perceptions towards safer driving and to identify what puts them at risk. By the end of the course drivers will gain a better understanding of the causes and consequences of collisions and develop an action plan to stay safe on the road.

Not quite. The Police have done their bit and file would have been prepared before it was submitted for someone to make a decision. Should the course be declined the file is ready for prosecution.

It will save the excessive costs to The Crown by not taking it to court.

The old argument about rehabilitation and education over out and out punishment will always be debated Wink

Guy I know drives as slow as hell. He got done for speeding - 47 in a 40 coming out of Ipswich. Had to take the course

? What roads statistically are the least safe in the UK
A Motorways says my mate
Actual answer - National speed limit A roads.

He was shocked.

Thing is - I'm not, because I'm not a window licking mongtard. I knew the answer to that. I dare say I'd know the answer to 95% of their course material. Still, I speed every day, and sometimes excessively so. Yet I can count on the wrinkles of a jew's non existent foreskin how many times I've been a danger to somebody, cut somebody up, failed to see a developing situation etc.

The course, for me, I'm convinced would be totally useless and a waste of my time.

The course, for him, was a revelation. He now drives even fucking slower than he did previously, but is still just as ill-judged in his driving as he always was. Result all round then.

I went on one of these following the aftermath that is my avatar. Laughing

The classroom based bit was predictable but we then got to go out in pairs with a driving instructor. My fellow sinner had turned left on a 'lycra clad' cyclist, was a lot younger than me and drove like a bloody hooligan.
My instructor was surprised at my driving ability so he spent the best part of my 'lesson' imparting IAM fuel efficient driving techniques. Most of the attendees appeared to be youngsters who lacked throttle control or common sense, one girl had pranged her car whilst fixing her makeup Rolling Eyes

But I did find the practical session worth it, despite the fact that I hadn't drive a car for a year since the accident and haven't owned one since.

Easy sanction, case closed, kickback gets split between the CC and Fed's slush fund: what's not to like? It's much better than a prosecution for them.

I attended such a course last December and I answered that question in the same way that you would have. I was told that I was wrong and that the correct answer is built-up urban roads.

I'd actually love to do one of those courses.

Q: Which roads are statistically the least safe?

A: Killed, killed and seriously injured, all injuries, or all accidents? Per mile, per hour, or per trip? African or European?

I had the same outcome with the woman who pulled out from the kerb, across my lane and hit me head-on, during my uni commute 3 and a half years ago.

I went over the car and landed on the other side, pretty much on my feet. Paramedics were amazed I was still walking Laughing

Yep my speed awareness was a troll fest.

They kept showing a video of a mum whose son died from driving too fast. Lots were crying, I just said, his poor lack of judgement and driving ability is not my problem.

Another one was someone lost their teenage son (crossed without looking) to a speeder (34mph in a 30) everyone was bawwing at the speeder until I mentioned darwinism and the fact that these retards who can't cross the road should be on a course, not me because I got caught going 36 in a downhill tunnel into the highest revenue camera in the uk (limehouse link/tunnel).

SUCH BS.

Same as when an 8 year old was killed as he drove his scooter onto the road because he thought he could make it, he was with his older sister who was 11. Same stuff, everyone is going mad at the driver (kid came out of from behind a van) when really if your kids don't know how to cross the road then don't let them out on their own...

The driver was speeding (40 in a 30) however everyone voted they would travel at 40mph down this road as it was big, speeder got moaned at and just before the course instructor changes slides he mentioned even if he was going 30mph he would of hit him anyway ''but that's not the point'' LUL WOT?

Is that like how people's heads used to explode when steam trains first exceeded 30mph? TRUEFAX. Folded arms

The guy who hit me, he was uninsured, disqualified and drunk, also high off his tits.

He served 18 days out of 30 in prison, and he wasn't charged with hit and run, failing to stop or some of the other bits... They sentenced him due to having no valid insurance and no licence for the 2nd time.

Useless fucks. A course doesn't teach people, time does.

I got one of those years ago over a non-motoring incident, the person involved's name was removed from the first line due to their age. It was then given in full a few times within the letter detailing the court times and convictions.

Just recently had to do a RIDE course for my accident (the one that infuriated you Laughing)

They told us that the stopping distance, including reaction time at 30mph is the length of a bus. So if someone stepped out from behind a bus then you are pretty much going to hit them.

The bit that annoyed me the most was that the rider/driver would be liable for the person walking out from behind a bus.

You are legally following the rules of the road and some cock steps out of nowhere and you get the blame. Clearly something is wrong with the way this country works this shit out?
