Bike rental in Spain [Barcelona]

Off to barcelona for a couple of nights in July. Hoping to rent bikes with my mate if we can find something pretty cheap. Will do the usual google searching; just wondered if anyone knows of anything particularly cheap or recommended.

Its mainly to literally get around so we will make do with scooters if its exceptionally cheaper, but obviously a real bike would be nice

But seriously, I think anything above scooter/peds is pretty expensive from what I looked at in Majorca for instance. All the scooter/peds looked like death traps.

Why don't you take your own across, sail to Santander or Bilbao. Going in July cost me 400 quid for a three week return.

Too expensve - would like to in the future but this is being done on a total budget. My mate won the flights in a competition which is the only reason we're going at all

Have done some looking ourselves since I made the thread and the likely option is looking to be hiring 125cc scooters for about 25 euros a day. Will probably bike one day and walk the other two half-days we're flying on.

In Barcelona the underground is pretty good. You could do with a T10 ticket, you can use it to get the train to and from the airport in to the city and on the underground to get around.
