Apparently you've had to have your license for more than 2 years to be able to test ride.

If a 1000cc bike is restricted to to 46 horses you can legaly test ride it the day after passing your test. You would need insurance to cover you and a really stupid seller to ...
1. Restrict a 1K bike to 46 bhp.
2. Allow you to get on it.

If the bike is restricted yes, chances if finding one, pretty slim. Short answer is no

Beginning to think you really are retarded

How many times do we have to lay out the answer to the same inane question? Your licence restricts you to riding a bike that does not exceed a stated maximum power output. No exceptions. Which part of this and riding otherwise in accordance are you not grasping?

When I bought my transalp which was unrestricted (I'm on 33bhp), cj ball in norwich whacked an L plate on, mic'd me up and the chap followed me as if I was under training.

Loved the bike and bought it and they fitted the restricter for me

And was he a DAS instructor in possession of his certificate? Thinking

It is an innovative wheeze, but if push comes to shove, you're the one committing the offence, not him.

Yep he is a fully qualified instructor, they do DAS, cbts etc there. I even had to wear their branded high viz vest.

Let me just ride off on what route I wanted, didn't hear a peep from him even though we were all mic'd up.

Did feel a bit weird being followed like that, felt I had to ride on my best behaviour! No naughtiness!

There's only one dealer who's ever offered me a test ride on a motorcycle while on my A2 license (that i've only held for 5months) and that's Street Bike but, only on a bike that I can legally ride on my A2 license.

All the other dealers I asked said I needed to of held my license for at least 2 years before being allowed to test ride a bike of there's.

Obvious legalities aside - Good luck finding a test ride without a full license is all I can offer from my own limited experience.
