I'm going to make a run to Halfords tomorrow to get stuff to paint the patch near the base of the tank (see picture) that had an unplanned meeting with some brake fluid. It's removed the paint down to the bare metal. For now, all I want is a quick fix, using rattle cans or similar.
How should I tackle this?
Provisional plan is: mask unaffected areas -> pre-paint wipe -> spray affected area once with primer -> let dry -> roughen with wet and dry -> spray thin layers of black paint from rattle can on top?

If finish is no issue to you I would just wipe over, aim and fire. ____________________ a.k.a 'Geri'
