XT125 electrical fault

Crashed a little while ago and have fucked my display up but i understand this to be a common fault with them. Took it to the mechanics to get it looked at as the indicators wouldn't work and it would cut out and such. A fuse was changed (ECU turned out to be fine) and we concluded that a new display was needed.

Not got round to buying one yet as they are a pain to get hold of, i contacted the manufacturer earlier to see if they supply privately.

recently the indicators became a bit dicky again and what few lights that work on the display are even more erratic. the indicators flash at a rate directly proportional to the engine rpm until about 4000rpm where they just do jack all.

i have had the dispaly apart to find a lot of water in there, dried it out as best i could without leaving over night.

My question is will the display being ballsed affect the indicators or is the information sent to the indicators separate to the display and there is another electrical fault somewhere?
