I took my brake calipers off to give my bike a good clean. Upon replacing them, the brakes have become a lot weaker. Will they correct themselves after a little riding or do I need to bleed the brakes (fingers are crossed it's not the latter)?

If you removed the pads did each pad go back where it came from?

I'm assuming you didn't disconnect the hydraulics.

Did you put each pad back exactly where it came from?

Had to use a clamp to push front brake pistons in but lost no fluid and put brakes back just as they were.

Pull the lever in as hard as possible and cable tie.
Leave it overnight and see if that helps.
