I would go with the DID, only cause I have no experience of the other one. DID are known to be good quality as far as I know.

I believe JT have only recently started to market their own chains.

From another forum; the box is labelled " Taiwanese made".
The quality is unknown at present.

JT is short for JOMTHAI ASAHI Co of thailand

not bad sprockets, but not sure how good their chain may or may not be

buy the DID, or take a chance on the JT? don't think so

DID all day long, its all I ever buy and I've recently replaced the cheap shite that was on my 9r as it couldn't hack it,apparently it was recently done but I'm not so sure.

Best going with the tired and tested and you can't go wrong with the DID.

Another vote for DID, everyday thrashing for over a year and I have barely adjusted it.

I echo Ste.. good luck with using JT.

jt have a pretty awesome rep for their sprockets,
im not sure if did even make sprockets??
but when you buy a chain and sprocket set from wemoto you get a did chain and jt sprockets,

as for jt chains, as far as i can tell they are non o-ring chains, so probably not that good,

Not bad,the sprockets will be either jt or similar but the chain will be a good quality DID one so top quality.

I just paid £90 for my DID chain but its a 530.

Depends if I can get on a job on a building site within the next month to steal a grinder.

Could you not borrow one?

I'd recommend buying a proper chain tool, all you'll need to do is grind one of the pins flush with the side plate and the tool can do the rest.....works a treat.

Is the chain on the Bike just now fitted with a clip link or is it a rivet one?

With your mechanical dyslexia I suspect you will lose a finger before the sprocket is off.

What's the point, quicker just to cut through the chain, it's not like it will be reused.

My chain is soon due to be replaced I've already recycled both sprockets so they will need to be replaced too.

Which is the better buy?
