I have a Ktm duke 125 and it is not charging the battery when running. Thinking it may be the battery I replaced it with a new one, charged the battery using an appropriate charger overnight, but I am still getting a low battery warning. Can anyone help please?

Get it running and check voltage across battery with a multimeter.

Thanks Paddy, found a mate who's got one so I'll do that tomorrow, what voltage should I be getting while it's running?

With a few revs, maximum about 14.5V, lowest about 13.5V really.

Idle I'd want low 13s

Dat regulator.

Find your regulator, check the 3 colours that are the same, set multimeter to AC volts. Check each wire with the + side of tester and put - on a bare part of the frame. Should be about 50V AC each.

If they are showing around that on all 3, or more than that, then your regulator has shit itself. If its in warranty that is definitely a job for that.

If it's still in warranty, I wouldn't even bother doing that. Down to the dealer (I hope it's close), say "Much fix-fix, chop chop."
