Snowies: HOW2: Adjust Tappets & CCT (Honda 'Benley' CB/CD/CM twins), could be JUST what you are looking for, though NOTE she'd doing them on the 180 timed Super-Dream engine, not the 360 timed Benley, though she does give advice on differences for them, while d I have no idea whether the clearance values are the same.

OK, I have been a little presumptuous, assumed you were adjusting the valve CLEARANCES not the valve TIMING... now you are talking about spark timing?
The CD200 has 360 crank, both pistons at TDC together. It has a fixed single trigger, 'lost-spark' ignition. The spark timing is non adjustable, and fires both pots at the same time; with both pistons at TDC together, one will be on the rock between Compression & power waiting a spark, while the other is on the rock between exhaust & induction, the spark 'wasted' in the old exhaust fumes.
Ignition timing 'advance', is effected electronically within the CDi igniter box, via the 'advance by retard' method, essentially the static timing of the fixed trigger, is set to the greatest degree of advance the engine may require, at higher rpm, then the CDI unit has a frequency dependant 'delay' between the sensing the trigger signal, and actually firing the spark.
The induction trigger, is contact-less, so there is no need for it to require any adjustment like contact breaker points, nor is there any scope for that adjustment to effect static timing; With the Dynamic Timing adjusted electronically, there is no mechanical advance mechanism, to again, get worn, jam, or require maintenance or adjustment. And with both cylinders fired from a single trigger on a lost-spark principle, yo cant eve get the spark-plug leads the wrong way round! It is just about THE most simple, robust and reliable ignition system ever. Its even 'self exited' powered up off its own winding i the generator, completely independent of the battery ad other electrical equipment.
So, in short, no, you cant be a 'rotation' out on the crank, for the ignition. And its incredibly hard to even be out a few degrees on the static timing, unless you have the generator cover bolted on 'cock' or have lost the rotor key so the rotors out on the crank.
Valve timing is controlled by the cam. Cam timing is effected by the orientation of the cam in relation to crank. UNLESS you have taken the motor to bits and taken the cam-chain off, this is again, effectively 'fixed'.
As the cam-chain wears however, it will stretch, and as it does so that will effectively 'retard' the cam in relation to the crank, a little. It has to be pretty bludy dire, though for it to cause serious running issues.
So... please, NO pictures just yet, I've seen the insde of enough bludy Benley engines to last a life time!
Are you trying to adjust the valve clearances, OR do you got the top end in bits for some reason, and are tryig to line crank and cam up under the cam-chain?
