What's a "DAS course"?

Training costs as much as it costs. Some people just aren't confident, or make a hash of tests, and need a lot of vagina petting hand holding.

Workmate got a great deal 5 years back when he paid 800 sovs for an "all the training you need" course and needed month after month of lessons to get up to test standard, some of them at 1:1. Paid at full whack, it could easily have cost him that much today.

£60 for a 2 hour lesson, so 2 lessons a week for 10 weeks, would bring you to £1200, chuck in a couple of failed mod1s and a failed mod 2 and youre probably somewhere around £1700

Jesus Christ 20 lessons?! Who does 20 lessons? I'm sure I only had 8-10 tops? Thought that was standard practice? Perhaps if you haven't driven on the roads before?

Well aint you just fucking special.

Someone over here said his DAS training has cost him £1700 so far and you feel the need to start a new thread berating him about it?

Its a bit harsh is it not? If thats what he has paid, thats what he has paid, who the hell are you to laugh/joke/question/ridicule.

Some people need more. Or, and it may shock you, some people just want more. It's as simple as that.

Mine cost me about 600ish with a failed mod1, but I can see how it could cost a hell of a lot more if you need more lessons or re-tests.

Yeah 600 is good going. I thought 800 was around average but I can appreciate how people learn at different rates. Just wanted an honest answer as to how it can end up being 1700. It's an honest question, that's all!

I do? Oh, I thought I had a new bike. In fact... Yes it's still there where I left it.

And if it wasn't I've access to around 17 bikes.

Oddly enough I think you're wrong again.

No different to learning anything, as others said it takes everyone different amounts of time. I paid £750 all in for 4 days training, but I picked it up fairly well. If you were not that quick at picking it up or a total newbie then it could easily take a few more sessions.

That's 8 to 10 more than I had. Let me know if I need to use shorter words.

Another member of the no lesson and pass first time club, in fact I made a thread about how to do it and stuck it in my sig Laughing

But not everyone is as elite as me and therefore require lessons, if they want to pay £1700 then I certainly won't be using those tears to fap with later Cool

Old good times Wink

No lessons, theory, test.. £110 and licence through the post 2 weeks later Cool

£1700 sounds like very silly money for DAS.

It is not possible. The most expensive DAS courses with guaranteed pass scheme cost about £800-£900.

Bare in mind that guaranteed pass scheme means you get free additional training untill you pass. So it does not matter how many lesson you need. £900 is the maximum you can pay.

Theory test, CBT, MOD1 and 2 14 lessons so far at £85 each
works out at around £1400 so far

Test is this week after 2 more lessons... one on the day before test

I didn't think that was excessive for someone who hadn't been on the road on a bike before.

Also these extra lessons was my idea, cos if im honest im shitting it and dont feel ready for the test, even though my trainer has confidence in me

Sorry to hear that but you should have asked them for guaranteed pass scheme first. Would have saved about £600.

Anyway its kind of late for that good luck on the test!

Your not the only one surprised by the cost LOL

I convinced myself it would take around £700 tops when i started :/

I am partly to blame though, somewhere in the middle of this i had several lessons where i didnt seem to advance like i had hoped.
Still missing the lifesaver and making silly mistakes like forgetting the indicator, lifesaver over the right shoulder at a roundabouts turning right.... no idea why.
had about 5 lessons like that.... then suddenly snapped out of it and started moving forward again.

I dont think your a cunt lol, i get the sense of humour of the forum... lots of piss takers on here Wink
