Mod 2 test questions

Has the question set asked by the examiner changed in the last year?

When I did it, you were asked show me, tell me and pillion questions.

Looking at the gov.uk practical test page there are now only the show-me-tell-me set.

Is that right? The pillion stuff was pretty obvious anyway, but it seems odd that it is removed. I'm wondering if it is a real change, or a website mistake.

I was asked show me how you'd test the horn, how would you check the brake fluid levels and what to tell a pillion. That was under 2 weeks ago.

In August I was asked how to turn on full beams, and how to know they're on. How to check the oil and horn, and general pillion passenger stuff.

Looks like the questions are still in then, and the website is wrong. Just asking as someone I know is going for their Mod 2 soon and we were talking about this.

Did my mod 2 last week and was asked how I'd test the horn, how I'd check the tyres were roadworthy and what I'd tell a pillion before jumping on.

Yes, pillion questions are definitely still there.

Mrs bamt has now got her licence, passing both parts of DAS first time. Despite forgetting to stop on the emergency stop part of Mod 1!

Now we're shopping for big bikes for her.

I remember telling the examiner "I'm not sure on this bike, but on mine its…."

He'd lead me out to the wrong bike but I wasn't sure if it was deliberate or not!

I was asked how to check the chain tension, and what adjustments one would make when carrying a pillion.

If you are unsure of any technical stuff, you can also state something like "check the chain tension is correct in accordance with the owner's manual"
