Hey guys,

I'm changing my starter relay and the new part that has arrived has a female connector instead of a male part like the previous one. Have I done goofed and need to totally re-order the part or can I just cut the wires and attach the correct plug?

Edit. I should also add that the colours on the wires are different. They both have a green/yellow wire but then one has a red/yellow and the other has a black/white. I'm assuming the Green/yellow is the earth wire and the other is the wire that runs to the ignition?

Where did you order from? (i.e online/dealer)

Kinda, but not exactly
The red/yellow is the positive supply from the starter button
and the other goes to the clutch switch/neutral switch and eventually ground when certain conditons are met
ie In neutral or when clutch pulled

Just connect it up securely and try and keep the weather out

Thanks I've changed the ends over and it's starting up first time now. Yet another problem with my cheap shitty Chinese bike solved. Bring on my test so I can get a real bike.
