These engine run points and could also do with a clean / resetting..

To me it sound like the engine isn't getting enough fuel when you had the carb apart did you reset the float hight etc..

All the best

Brad

Try a bump-start, sometimes these things need a bit of further encouragement the first time after a layup! Thumbs Up

take the plug out and check it, tell me what colour it is and also check if it's wet. I had this issue.

Is the plug resistant? If so bin it and get a non resistant plug for starters. Chances are if its wet its fucked anyway gp100's always foul plugs up quick if not setup just right. Here are some things I would check:

Have you put it together right? Ie with the carb cover on and most importantly both rubber bungs in the 2 holes on the carb case?

Is the air filter the right type and clean? Any air leaks between airbox and engine?

Is the exhaust clean inside or bunged up full of crap?

Any play in the crank?

Head/base gasket leaking?

Compression good?

Points clean and correctly adjusted?

Carb clean and correctly adjusted?

Coil/lead/cap in good condition/working correctly?

Oil pump correctly adjusted?

If all that is ok then its probably flooded. Good luck with that!

Gp100's are fussy little bastards so everything needs to be right!

try easy start, if it does start and run briefly then your carb is probably blocked again, have you got a fuel filter fitted?

If no then compression is either no good or the spark isnt working under pressure inside the engine
