It might help to know make, model & year, but my guess is EGR Valve.
If not, part of the cooling system? ____________________ Honda Varadero XL125(V8)

It's the Flux Capacitor. You just need to add in an uprated alternator to provide 1.21 gigawatts and you'll be fine.
Try not to go 88mph |

It's a pair pump. It sends fresh air from the airbox into the exhaust port to introduce oxygen into the exhaust which will allow any un-spent hydrocarbons to burn.
The very small pipe is the vacuum signal which causes the pump to operate.
The one big pipe is the air feed from the airbox
The four smaller pipes connect to metal tubes that run one to each exhaust port.
It does nothing for the bike's performance or economy, it just reduces the amount of hydrocarbons (un-burnt fuel) that's sent out into the atmosphere. ____________________ a.k.a 'Geri'
