getting my hands in my first muff

Going to be sensible this time and get some muffs. Tucano obviously seem to be the name everyone goes on about.

Anyone got them? I'll be fitting to a '94 CBR 600f. Should fit alright eh?

fitted to a CBR6f, they are excellent. Properly waterproof, fit well, secure, durable, easy to get hands in and out, don't press on controls, controls accessible etc etc.

I've got some neoprene R360 muffs don't bother to cable tie them on my Varadero instead they are permanently strapped to the bike and only used if it is torrential heavy rain or sub zero temperatures.

Personally I like the R361, secured using a longer handlebar weight bolt and a large repair washer. I don't use the cable ties to keep things attached.

One reason I prefer half-faired bikes is you can lean down and warm a hand on the engine casing.

I have always been wary of how much they affect the controlling ability that is why I have never tried muffs. Good thing I do not ride for extended periods, though warm hands would be nice.

And they are as good as everyone says. Before I was getting numb fingers after 45 minutes on the bike riding home, now my fingers are lovely and warm, still wearing summer gloves.

They take about 5 minutes to get used to, and control is the same as with no muffs, it's like wearing summer gloves. Funny that...

I'll have to try them at some point I suppose.

The only time my fingers have ever gone really cold that I had to get off the bike for a respite was on my mod1 training. It was not a good feeling.
