Just curious really. I am back in the UK for now, and last time I got lots of offers for borrowing a bike.

Did learn last time that it /does/ have to be switched in to my name, or the insurance isn't valid Embarassed

125cc/250cc perfectly fine, just after something to poddle around on, and zero NCB at present.

Based in Hertfordshire.

Failing that, anyone have anything cheap to sell?

If it has to be in your name, why does the insurance form have the "who owns this vehicle" box?

I can only assume that - as usual - they've not said what they really mean, and class leased/HP/PCP vehicles as being "owned" by the renter. While at the same time, your actual certificate of insurance itself is likely to specifically exclude such vehicles from the "other bikes" cover.

Ah, shit Mad
Got four bikes out the front, only one (the Harley) works.
Prolly not a lot wrong with the GPZ500 but thats prolly a bit small for you.
The K75 is firing on two instead of 3 (or possibly only 1 Sad )

I don't recall a visit to Blighty being on the agenda recently?
Hope all is okay. Suspect not.

Cheers for the offer.

I was looking more for <400 / 500 max, an er5 or GPZ500 would be great. But so would a cb250 or 400.

It really is just as a sensible run around for a month or two, and the cheaper to run the better. Most excellent would be barmuffable Very Happy

I don't mind spending some money on maintaining it as well, just conscious of not biting off more than I can chew.

I believe the correct answer is "roughly from behind" Wink

Anyway, this was what I was hoping for I guess.

Yam XS250

(But tax and test)

I know being endlessly overtaken by arseholes in Volvos may ruin the fun, but I quite like slower bimbling at the moment. And it's cold. And my hand/wrist has still not fully recovered, so a neutral riding position and low weight would be good.

Actually, very tempting Thinking

But the pink paintwork might get me too many admiring looks from the boys Wub

Seriously though, probably a little bit big and butch for my current ability/funds.

Thank you for the offer though.

Haven't agreed on price or checked how savage tax will be on it, but looking hopeful to be looking fantastic and purple Thumbs Up

Winter riding in blighty on a naked bike... fantastic. Laughing

Anyone know how to make DIY barmuffs, or where to buy them cheaply/got any spare mangy ones? Got a hand injury so may be slightly critical.
